What is Rai Collective?

Rai Collective is a luxury, heritage-inspired dog collar and accessories brand. It was founded in tribute to Rai, a brown Doberman whose loyalty and presence became the foundation of the brand. Rooted in CHamoru and Hawaiian culture, every piece is built to carry meaning forward.

What is BioThane?

BioThane is a coated webbing material that does not absorb water, crack in cold, or peel in heat. It holds its shape and finish through years of real use. We chose it because it is precision-crafted for active dogs and demanding environments, not just aesthetics.

What is the Sinåhi Name Tag?

The Sinåhi Name Tag is a solid brass crescent moon name tag engraved with your dog's name. It comes included with every Rai Collar and is attached via brass links. It is not sold separately.

What does Sinåhi mean?

Sinåhi is the CHamoru word for new moon. The Sinåhi is also a crescent moon shaped ornament from CHamoru culture, traditionally worn as a symbol of status and identity. We chose the crescent form for the name tag because a name is identity. It is the mark that says who your dog is.

What is Drop 01?

Drop 01 is the debut release from Rai Collective. It includes The Rai Collar, precision-crafted in BioThane with solid brass hardware, and The Sinåhi Name Tag, a solid brass crescent moon name tag engraved with your dog's name. Every Rai Collar comes with the Sinåhi Name Tag.

When does Drop 01 launch?

We have not announced a specific launch date yet. Drop 01 is limited by design. Join the waitlist to be among the first to know when it is ready.

How do I join the waitlist?

Visit the collection page and click Join the Waitlist. You will be taken to a short Google Form asking for your name and email. That is all we need. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee purchase rights or lock in pricing.

What hardware do you use?

The Rai Collar uses solid brass hardware. Selected for its warmth, heritage aesthetic, and durability.

Is the collar waterproof?

Yes. BioThane does not absorb moisture. The Rai Collar is built for salt water, trail, rain, and real outdoor use. Brass hardware is durable and develops a natural patina over time with exposure to the elements.

What cultures does Rai Collective draw from?

Rai Collective is rooted in the cultures of Guåhan (Guam) and Hawaiʻi. The latte stone, an ancient pillar of CHamoru civilization, is the brand's central mark. The Sinåhi name tag draws from CHamoru cultural tradition. The Hawaiian value of mālama, to care for, honor, and preserve, informs how we approach the bond between dog and person. These are not aesthetic choices. They are the foundation.
